BC Association of Clinical Counsellors

The BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) was incorporated in 1988 with the principal goal of regulating the professional practice of Clinical Counsellors in the province of British Columbia. Today, the BCACC represents over 3,000 Registered Clinical Counsellors throughout BC.

Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association

The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association is a national bilingual association of professionally trained counsellors engaged in the helping professions. CCPA’s approximately 5300 members work in many diverse fields of education, employment and career development, social work, business, industry, mental health, public service agencies, government and private practice.

NHPC

The Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) was established in 1988 by a group of massage therapy graduates who were passionate about holistic health care. Since those beginnings, we have grown to support over 6,500 holistic health practitioners across Canada. We offer nation-wide liability insurance, discounted continuing education, a welcoming community to our members, and many more benefits.

CMMOTA

The Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA) is a not-for-profit association that provides professional association membership options only for massage therapists and manual osteopathic therapists throughout Canada. Our association is active on a number of internal and external committees at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels of government. As an organization we are committed to seeing legislation introduced to regulate the profession of Massage Therapy in all unregulated parts of Canada.

MTAS

Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan registrants are health professionals who have met rigorous registration requirements, including at least 2,200 hours of post-secondary education in science and in the clinical applications of massage therapy. They have also passed a multi-component registration (entry to practice) member qualifying examination administered by the MTAS. These and other requirements are designed to ensure that our members provide safe, ethical and effective healthcare.

RMTBC

The Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of BC (RMTBC) is the professional body for the RMTs of British Columbia. The RMTBC acts as the voice of massage therapy in the province. Through media relations, advertising, publications, the web site and other activities, the RMTBC reaches out to the public, health care professionals, politicians and other stakeholders with its message that massage therapy is a vital part of health care in BC.

The association negotiates with the Medical Services Plan, the Insurance Corporation of BC, the Workers’ Compensation Board, the BC Government and private insurers and gathers evidence on the uses of massage therapy through research projects and the ongoing collection of massage therapy research articles.
